Surroundings and excursion tips
We've compiled a small collection of tips for sightseeing, shopping, and much more for anyone interested. We'll try to continuously expand this information. At the same time, it's also important to us to share information that we've discovered and experienced ourselves. Of course, we always welcome additional ideas from our website visitors, which you can send to: andrea_nauli@bluewin.ch. Thank you!

Mörrum/Elleholm bathing area
In Mörrum/Elleholm there is a beautiful bathing area right on the Baltic Sea. It is easily accessible by car, and also on foot from our holiday home. There you will find parking spaces, toilets, changing facilities, a sunbathing lawn and access to the sea.

Bathing area Klackabackan/Ivosjön
Swedes in rural areas tend to eat out in restaurants rather infrequently, and if they do, it's usually at lunchtime. Therefore, there are only a limited number of restaurants. Instead, you'll find plenty of takeaway options, which offer a wide and varied selection: kebabs, pizzas, Italian and Greek specialties, and some Asian food.

Torso
Torsö is a tiny village/hamlet on the Baltic Sea, not far from Sölvesborg. Right by the sea is a small campsite for motorhomes, a real gem, but unfortunately already quite well-known, so you have to arrive early in the morning to snag a free spot.

Squid
The city of Kalmar lies on the Baltic coast in the southern Swedish region of Småland. Its historical monuments, proximity to the island of Öland, and hiking-friendly surroundings make it an ideal destination for a city break.

Tingsryd
Tingsryd is a beautiful little town that stretches along the main street.
On-site, you'll find a campsite called Tingsryd Resort. Here you can enjoy a wonderful stay with a campervan/caravan or tent. There's also the option to rent a bungalow. The resort is located directly on Lake Tinken, which you can explore by bicycle or in a rented electric boat (be sure to request a spare battery).

Gas stations
There are many petrol stations in Sweden; the cheaper ones are usually located near motorway/exit roads. Prices vary only slightly, and the names of the different fuels are easily decipherable in Swedish without a translator.
